1999 LA Press 2nd Place Ad Design Award This is kind of a funny story. I was given photos taken by my ad rep to advertise these jeans. All of the images were dark and out of focus and basically unusable. She had taken the picture of the tag only so I could possibly get the MAVI logo from it. The composition was great, the color was bad and very out of focus. My solution was to unsharp mask the image to clear it up a little then create a duotone to fix the color. I was very excited with the outcome of the ad. Strangely enough, I don't think the client was too pleased with it, but deadlines dicated there was no time to retake the pictures and design another ad. The client signed off on it anyway and the rest is history.

Design Team for Best of New Orleans and Design Team for MTV2 New Orleans Convention Gambit Weekly decided to completely revisit their visitor's guide magazine and I was asked to join in this adventure. Along with the Art Director, the Assistant Art Director and one other production artist, we brainstormed and created this magazine from cover to cover. This basic design was then transformed to create the MTV2 Convention Program.
